As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear Him. Psalm 103:13 NRSV

In this Psalm, David is comparing the compassion of God to a father’s compassion for his children. I know that not everyone has the blessing of having good parents, so this may be a hard concept for some. A good father shows love and support to his children even when he may not agree with their choices. He tries to gently guide his children on the correct path. this is what God does for us even when we don’t have an earthly father. He loves us, hears our troubles, comforts us, and guides us on our way

Dear God, thank You for being my heavenly father. Thank You for your unending love and compassion. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
