“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the things will have passed away.” Revelation 21:4 NRSV

Sorrow and pain are part of our world; sometimes, the pain is so bad that it blots out our faith and hope. God is our comforter and promised that our pain will not be forever. Where do you need God’s comfort in your life today? All you have to do is ask Him.

Dear God, thank you for being with me whenever I need you. You always know the troubles in my heart, and I am grateful that you have promised hope for good things to come. Please comfort those who are sick and in pain and those who are in despair. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
