“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house, there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And, if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3 NRSV
Anxiety has been my constant companion over the last few months. Feelings of inadequacy and that I’m not enough try to crush me. I’ve had to step outside myself and dig back into my study and worship. Bringing these thoughts to you is part of that. Life will not always be without worry, but I know God has a plan and path for me, and He won’t let me fail. How can worship and study help you bring your troubles to God?
Dear God, You know the worries and troubles that are in my heart. Please take me in your arms and help me leave these burdens at your feet. I thank you for always being there for me, even when I may lose sight of your love and presence. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
