Fifteen Weeks

I can’t believe it has been 15 weeks of weightlifting three times a day!! That’s over one quarter of the year that I have been showing up for myself and my health. I keep thinking about what is different this time, and here is what I keep landing on.

  • I’m not tracking my food, calories, or carbs at all. That’s so much less stressful for me.
  • I’m trying to make the best food choices possible and keep portion sizing reasonable. That’s where my meal prep comes in.
  • I’m listening to my body’s fullness cues and not pushing the boundaries there.
  • I’m giving myself permission to enjoy the foods I love in moderation. I can have that Bojangles biscuit, but I don’t need it daily.
  • I weigh myself almost daily because it helps me not get upset with fluctuations. However, I’m not focused on this number. I can see and feel my body becoming so much stronger.
  • I’ve centered my workouts on God. I listen to Bible studies every time I lift weights. It’s helping me focus on His word, and my spirit just becomes more and more motivated. I think this has been the most important thing for me personally.

If you need some motivation and I can help with that in any way, please reach out. I’m not an expert, but I have listening ears and a story to share.
